Air Field is the brainchild of artists Phil Boyd and Nick Terry, who began collaborating in 2021, some time after they met in Marfa, TX. They released their first album, Air Field Vol. 1 in 2022, then in 2023 worked with Rob Mazurek to create the soundtrack for the film Neuro Osmosis, by David Fenster. Air Field Vol. 2 is their third album, and the first to be released by CIA records. Theirs are sonic minimal, ambient odes to the vast land and skyscapes of far West Texas.

Lisa Cameron (aka Venison Whirled) is from Austin, Tx. Using amplified/acoustic percussion and strings, she locates resonant frequencies in space to create oscillating overtones, which are then employed as sound sources for live improvisation.

Kory Reeder is an American composer and performer whose music is often introspective and atmospheric, investigating ideas of objectivity, place, immediacy, situation, and interaction with pieces ranging from symphonic works to text scores and computer-assisted improvisations.

Sounds Modern performs concerts of adventurous contemporary music, reaching beyond the traditional context of classical music, collaborating with modern art presenters and other non-traditional venues to share adventurous new music with adventurous new audiences. Conceived and directed by virtuoso flutist Elizabeth McNutt in collaboration with The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Sounds Modern adds a sonic dimension to the ideas represented in the galleries, and brings the artwork to life in the concert hall.

Taylor Collins is a pianist and synthesist who explores classical piano technique and the outer limits of harmonic probability and sound design. Taylor believes that everything resolves to a tonic in the end, but the road there can sometimes be very… strange.
